uBoyaTexTMNFRP Felts
Primarily for composites, our range of NFRP felts are designed to be used with any thermosetting liquid resin using infusion or RTM technologies. Comprised of 100% short hemp fibers, they offer reinforcement, thickness, and other mechanical properties to composites using a fully natural and sustainable material. Highly drapable and deformable, they can be used for complex shapes and designs as well as with other textiles fabrics (including with our uBoyaTexTM woven and multi-axial fabrics). These can be adapted for stiffness, weight, and thickness and are supplied dry.
uBoyaTexTMNFRP Felt Hybrids
Similar to our NFRP felts, our NFRP hybrids range of non-woven are pre-impregnated and designed for thermocompression technologies. Composed of hemp fibers compounded with a thermoplastic (e.g., PP, PET, PES, PLA etc.), they offer excellent mechanical properties including dampening, lightening, insulation, and acoustic. These are supplied as pre-pregs, in varying compositions and weights, tailored to customer needs.
uBoyaTexTMNFRP Multi-Axials
We are developing a range of uni-directional and multi-axial (non-crimp) fabrics are designed to be used for a wide range of composite manufacturing applications. Composed of hemp-based (with thermoplastic options) uni-directional (UD) and bi/multi-axials (+/-45/90 degrees), they will come in tape, ribs (grids), and mats. Highly diverse, they will offer superior mechanical performance and widest-variety for customization. These will be supplied in dry or as prepregs.
uBoyaTexTMNFRP Wovens
We are developing a range of woven fabrics designed to be used with a wide range of composite manufacturing applications. Comprised of 100% hemp rovings or hemp + thermoplastic (PET, PP, PLA etc.), they are offered in in 2x2 or 4x4 woven twills. These provide the combination of excellent aesthetic design (with natural finish) along with excellent mechanical properties. Will be supplied both dry and as prepregs.
uBoyaTexTM Non-Wovens
Our non-woven fabrics include a range of both needle-punched felts and thermally-bonded hi-lofts. Depending on the end-use, our non-wovens are comprised of either 100% short hemp fibers or combined with wool, basalt, cotton, and various thermoplastics in various compositions. These products are primarily marketed to the footwear, insulation, bedding, and agri-textiles industries and are customizable to client requirements (thickness, weight, color, and other technical specifications).
uBoyaTexTM Wovens
We are currently developing a range of woven fabrics designed to be used with a wide range of composite manufactoring applications. Currently, we offer three hemp-based fabrics for upholstery, denim, and canvas, all in various compositions and tailored to client requirements. We have the ability to weave plain, satin, and twill fabrics and, working with our local CMT partners, we will soon offer proprietary finished hemp denim jeans.
